You got like three feet of air that time. Can I try it really quick?

Should bikers wear helmets?

Dumb question you ask, right? Well not so fast. 20/20 did a report on a “study” completed last September (BBC) by Ian Walker of Bath University in England.

Here is John Stossel’s (20/20 host) report on that study, via C.I.C.L.E..

Even though this study suggests that wearing a helmet might make a collision more likely I’m still wearing a helmet each time I ride my bike, on road & off. All it takes is one motorist not paying attention to leave me loopy for life or a statistic.

What do you think? Helmet or no helmet? Even if it’s a quick ride around the block? And, to tie this into mountain biking, what about while climbing uphill in the granny gear?
