LenzSport Lunch Box

What a great name for the newest Full Suspension 29er! LenzSport, a one-man company in Ft. Lupton, Colorado, has just added its newest full suspension 29er to their current lineup. The LenzSport Lunch Box is named after local trails (that inspired the bike) called the Lunch loops.

Here’s some more information on the bike from the mtbr.com forum post:

The LunchBox “starts” with the Behemoth chassis, but gets these mods:
1/4″ higher BB.
1 degree slacker HTA
150 rear spacing, with Maxle
30.9 seattube, for compatibility with the Maverick SpeedBall.

The geo is designed around and ideally suited to the WB F135 coil sprung fork.

The differences are subtle until you start pushing your limits. The faster you go, the bigger you drop, and the more aggressive you ride, the more you notice and appreciate these differences.
It’s like a whole new sport. Pretty exciting stuff.
Lastly, and this applies to the Behemoth as well, it has good clearance for the new breed of 2.6″+ tires that are soon to be available.

The Lunch Box is a significant bike in the 29er movement because it is widely considered as the first true All Mountain 29er. This is mainly because of the slacker slacker head angle which neutralizes handling, higher bottom bracket to allow you to get through the rough stuff, 5″ of travel, a rear Maxle for stiffness and the ability to fit the forthcoming 2.6+ inch tires. With these types of changes, the Lunch Box pushes the 29er movement to a place it really hasn’t been in before.

The rear Maxle in particular dramatically improves the stiffness and rigidity without complicating things for the rider. With a WB fork using a thru axle up front and a rear Maxle, the bike becomes much stiffer and more precise in its handling.
