I have been using raxter for several years now in several configurations from single, double, triple, quad. I have checked out every other brand(at interbike). There is not another rack out there that is competitive with this rack. It is lighter than all other hitch mounts,It is more versatile, and even beats the competition price wise. The best thing of the raxter is it can carry both my mountain bike and road bike without ever touching the paint or carbon fiber. The contact points of the velcro are soft and do not hurt the finish of the rims. The only way to lose a bike off this thing is to have a major brain malfunction(can't fix stupid). There are no draw backs to this rack that I have come across. I once read a review in a magazine about hitch racks in general, and the fact if a car rear ends you your bike gets wrecked also. I look at it from another point of view. If you are rear ended it is the other persons fault, his insurance pays and his rates go up. On the other hand if you have a roof rack and you drive into your garage. You Wreck your own bike, car, house, and your rates go up. Plus with a hitch mount you are less likely to damage your vehicle by dropping your bike on your car or the car next to you. It is also better for fuel mileage, which is very imortant these days. Man I sound like a paid advertisement,I'm not I am just very enthusiastic about this product because it is actually a product that over performs
