Night Riding-For training

The last 3 days in SoCal has been pretty wet. With the local trails out of commission until they dry out, Priscilla and I have been hitting the road for some much needed training. We’re coming up to the finals of the Cal State Series this weekend, and this week is crunch time for training.

We put in about an hour and fifteen minutes of riding, complete with near misses (from a few cars), hills and sprint intervals. Here’s the view of my cock-pit (get your mind out of my pants).

I’m riding the Soma Double Cross DC (cyclocross bike). Check out my shoes, those are the Sette Nix, absolutely love them! I’m hoping to use them at my next DH race, I’ll let you know how they hold up.

Here’s Priscilla’s yummy legs wrapped in lady bug socks. That bright LED is called BikeBrightz, cool stuff, but battery life isn’t that great on it.

And of course, our obligatory couple’s picture. Check it out, I shaved my beard off!

So what’s the moral of the lesson? Ride road if the trails are wet.
