KNEE REHAB THANKS TO KHS:

A while back KHS Bicycles lent us the Robix Spin Bike to review. Priscilla uses this thing 9 times a week. She’ll spin on that thing anywhere from 30 minutes to about an hour…sometimes 2 times a day.

So with my knee slowly starting to feel better, I didn’t want to jump on my bike and tackle a 12 mile trail without reconditioning my body and knee to slowly work up to that kind of load and strain.

Last night, out of my frustration that I haven’t ridden on the trails for almost a month, I spun on the spin bike for about 25 minutes. Nothing crazy, but just simple low cadance spin session.Heck I didn’t even have barely any tension on it. I was pretty encouraged because my knee didn’t bother like it has in the past after a bike ride. If anything, the spin bike made me feel really good. Must have been all those endorphins in my body…

So now my goal is to spin at least once a day to get my legs, ligaments, tendons and what ever else is connected to my knee, to be strong enough and allow my cardio level to handle longer trail rides.

So if anything, I am very grateful to KHS Bicycles for helping me get back in the saddle slowly.
