Ibex Zone FR-1 Clearance

Ibex Bikes has the Zone FR-1 on sale for only $899!

If you were to try and get a similar bike from other brand names, you’d be looking at a $2500 price tag.

Here’s some specs of the bike:

Frame: 6061 Aluminum – The IBEX Zone full suspension frame features a 7″ of rear travel, oversized “bazooka” bi-oval downtube, plate gussets & braces and tri-design swingarm that give rigidity and sturdy integrity. Large diameter pivots all use sealed cartridge bearings and a high bottom bracket leaves room for full use of all available travel. FSA Pig DH headset has 1/2″ ball bearings that will handle elevated forces of long-travel forks and extreme conditions.

Rear Shock: Manitou Metel RP – Long travel coil-over design w/ piggy-back reservoir and rebound adjustment. This is the right tool for the job! Coil-over shocks take hard landings in stride and the reservoir gives this shock all-day capability without overheating or dry-stroking.

Fork (FR-1): 130mm Marzocchi Drop-Off – superb damping quality under any conditions. Open Bath Damping is the heart of Marzocchi’s technology. Since oil completely bathes the internal bushings and cartridges all the moving parts glide smoothly, eliminating friction that causes forks to feel harsh and unresponsive. Dual SSV (Speed Sensitive Valve) with 1-side air and 1-side coil.

Drivetrain: Shimano Deore/LX/XT – An incredibly perfect combination for Freeride, this 18-speed Shimano drivetrain includes LX Rapidfire shifters, Deore front derailleur and cassette while the rear derailleur is upgraded to XT. TruVativ’s renowned Hussefeldt alloy crankset features 2 chainring configuation (32/22T) w/ Rock-Guard. A high quality KMC Z-9200 chain tops it off.

Brakes: Hayes HFX-9 HD Hydraulic Disc Brakes – Hayes hydraulics are legendary for their extreme stopping power and fine modulation. The HD version’s 8-inch stainless steel rotors and compact dual-piston design with semi-metallic pads and a reservoir system that compensates for fluid expansion, provide stopping power in the extreme.

Wheelset: Sun/Ringle Singletrack Rims are cross laced to Ritchey Pro hubs with 20mm thru-axel front hub. These are extremely sturdy, welded rims that are strong enough for hard landings and yet light weight enough for big air. Kenda Kinectic tires in 26″ x 2.35 are offer fat-tire traction even in the worst conditions.

Cockpit: TruVativ Hussefeldt handlebar & forged alloy stem with XR 2-bolt alloy seatpost offer solid foundations as do the WTB Power V DH Race saddle, Weirwolf grips and HTI platform pedals. The 4-bolt stem and handlebar feature new OS 31.8 bar-bore for a flex-free interface.

Weight: 38.7 lbs (FR-1) or 39.2 lbs. (FR-1 TC)
