Tandemania at the Fullerton Loop

Last week I asked my 9 year old daughter if she would be interested in racing the Mt. Sac Fat Tire Classic with me on our tandem. Mind you, she tried trail riding when she was younger, she had a bad time and that obviously had a negative impact on her. Well until now. So I took my KHS Tandemania Alite and set it up to handle the trail. I installed a Marzocchi Bomber fork and a set of Specialized Enduro tires. Then we headed out to the Fullerton Loop and did a 6 mile training ride.

I tried to use the Oregon Scientific ATC2K helmet cam, but I had it pointed down too low.

KHS Tandemania Alite

I recently got this awesome KHS Tandemania Alite. It’s comes with a rigid fork which will soon be upgraded to 100mm Marzocchi fork and the wheels will get pampered with a set of off road tires.

Priscilla felt that the rear flat bar was too low, so I changed them out to a beach cruiser bar and installed a pair of glittery jelly grips!
