On the XC course, poison oak is rampant on the singletrack. If youâ€™re on singletrack, thereâ€™s poison oak. Itâ€™s fresh and ready to kill your skin. The key is to detect it and avoid it. Better yet, cover all exposed skin and burn/wash your clothing after the event.
If you do get exposed and get a reaction. Do not touch it! If itâ€™s bad, go to the doctor and get some steroids. Cream, pill or shot will get rid of it.
